only an idea paul but i can see no reason it couldnt be done. i also think that with the strength of the old skool scene at the moment there is no reason why the old skool owners should not have far more influence in the club, i think this would benifit both the club and the old skool owners, but as i said before i think the best way to do this is from within as members,

thats right m8 as the RSOC will be nothing without us the member so why carn't we have our say and have a postal vote

like dave said they can put all the forms in the RN like they do for nat day

as there are ppl at the top of the club that know if this was to happen they will be removed from the club and there post in the club

i have enjoyed reading all of these passionate valid interesting comments that have been written. its nice to see we can all be grown up for a short while.

postal votes is a great idea, and would no doubt get a far better turn out. but slips could easily be corrupted with photocopies if a number of people were keen to see an individual in post. maybe some votes could be done via the website, that way only one vote per email address and hopefully no spoiled votes.

Wouldn't work via email as there are more members without the access to a computer that there are with. Has to be a fair way so EVERYONE gets a vote. Postal vote to me seems the best idea.

How about doing a vote for various issues at national day instead of the AGM. At the signing on tent you flash your card and pick up a voting card with your member number on it. Put completed card in a box.

But i'd prefer postal or internet voting.

Even the small percentage who dont use the net could use a friends or library computer.

I think postal voting is the way to go.
Each member gets a slip with there membership number on it.
It will stop double voting etc.

It would be harder to stop double votes on a computer as most people have acess to more than one PC. Unless you had to enter your membership number to vote on the net thus cancelling out your postal vote.

It all takes man hours & voulenteers to sort it though.

one slip with your membership number on it and a vote for the regi and the rest of the high up jobs

all jobs on the RSOC will need to be done on one slip

then that way the right ppl stay or leave the club

Ricky you know the score though...
The RSOC was originally set up to cater for the Mk1 & 2 RS Escorts.
I know they have lost there way with skaters & taxis..
But they should realise the importance of the old skool Escorts within the club.
Issues that are discussed on here or the RSOC's BB are not seen by everyone that is a member of the RSOC.
This is where the old skool needs pushing in the RSOC Mag.
I know at least 20 guys that have Mk1 & 2 RS's & they either don't have interenet access or are not interested in reading the forums but they are RSOC members.. they need enlightening too don't they....
