my 16i was just below braking limit for mot years ago, i took an article in from good ole rallye news about poor 16i brakes, and told tester that theyre all like that. He gave me a mot ticket

Always been a MkII man myself, although I did own that Olympic Mk1 RS that Charlie Chisholm bought off me, I bought it part restored unfortunately bought it at the wrong time and never had time or money to get it finished, 100K on the clock 3 owners if I remember rightly would've been a beauty as the seats had been re-upholstered engine box and rear axle had been done by one of the previous owners.

18,000 british pounds and you can have her back will even throw in carcoon........... no woodpack fitted tho...... previous owner never forward it on to me.

Well nice tony , remember it well. The series 2 reg told me about her a few years ago...

National day runner up 91 if me old memory is right.

The Yorkshire Tash is selling his, will be in next rallye news , not cheap 10 big ones, still trying him to part with the old mk1 mex but no luck yet.
                        Regards Charlie

16i prices are definately on the up , been watching the 'bay' to pick up a second one , just a knacker for spares but they all seem to be running into decent money. I think the mk2 prices have helped pull up the prices of the other models.

I removed what wood was fitted as it was knackered, and looked bloody awful in the car too! The opening rear 1/4's that I sold with it (bought at Ford Fair from AVO stand) which were originally fitted (as an option) never did get put in so I see, flogged them on I take it.
Very very nice end result but 18K is too much for my liking and I'm about to buy a MkII RSII and get that up and running.
