yes,
insurance in various types was avaialable, not just for third party and personnal injury but also for damage to the car. Thankfully i had full comprehensive for the days activities, however some just had third party - guess what insurance he had.:winka:

There was a "discussion" to be heard in the pitt garage (however, i do not speak Italian, or Irate Italian) so i do not know the outcome, however the guy took no further part in the days activities and judging by the body language of all concerned things were very Fraught.

I did hear afterwards that the guy would have to pay for the damage.
however, it is worth pointing out that some of these guys at the track were EXTREMELY wealthy, two of them had Enzo's, whilst i lost count of the various 911's, and other exotica, therefore €40,000 odd euros would be beroni money for some of them
