What are we voting for .. I.e. items ?

                We want

                1. this
                2. that
                3. the other

                From the club

if we construct the detail then it can be put forward.

Whatever you vote for at agm maybe should be put to either a postal ballot or internet ballot to the paid up members, i'm not saying this is a good idea and have not considered logistics, I just think it would be a fairer system rather than just the rsoc 'click' who actully bother going to the agm.

                  Its just a suggestion.

Another suggestion is the RSOC split into 2 divisions, RS pre 81 and RS post 81, again not considered logistics but thats what the bbs is for.

some peeps have said a few things about regestrars putting in more effort, well personally i must admit i havent been to alot of shows this year, but on occasions such as last years nat day i sent out some 45 invites for the display of 1800s. The response, 5 replies!!! So i rang around to muster up some cars and a couple said ok. Most cars seem to be under restoration, a bit like my own car, so I know how it feels.
I always return calls and carry out valuations with no problems, a few items have gone into the mag but i can only put so much in with out repeating articles. The answer, I dont know.

                    cheers Dave.

the concourse thing is way ,way over the top .i attended the show when the aberdeen group had the very first working class compition to give guys who used their cars every day but still managed to keep them clean a wee chance to win something and it was a great idea, now i see cars getting trailered in and no way are they used every day or on the road at all .the way oggie did it was the way forward ,why also cant you just turn up and enter if you want to.i also see so many guys critising the registrar so they cant all be wrong,we up in scotland had our day out at a race track and it was a great success, that being in our first year and also we dont pay anything for memberships.there was something for everyone, and it didnt cost a fortune.it needs to lighten up and put much more fun back into it.i can remember all the inter group events like the tug of war, plug changing, etc.i personally dont have any urge to rejoin the rsoc in the near future but if they will listen i would certainly give it a go.i joined with ders in 1986/87
