Ordered a small part from Burtons on Tuesday , guy says it will be with me on Thursday.
Thursday , no part.
Friday , post comes , no part.
Ring Burtons, "Yes the part was posted out to number 8 *****" , right town wrong address .
Burtons " Leave it with us I'll get back to you"
5 minutes later phone rings "Hello this is Burtons , I think we have sent you a parcel by mistake"
Me " No, I am the person who paid for the parcel who hasn't received the parcel"
Burtons "Oh .......we've got your phone number and your credit card details logged against someone elses account"
Well I wasn't pleased so I told Burtons to get it sorted and send me another part and delete all my info from their system. I then went round to the other address where the part had gone and left a note with my phone number explaining that they might have a part for me. That evening a guy rings and says he did have the part but he had put it back in the post to Burtons the same day.
Saturday...still no part from Burtons , then my wife rings , the guy from the other address had been on the phone (after going through his bin to find my phone number which he had torn up)and said another parcel had arrived from Burtons , was it the original one back again , was it shit , Burtons had sent the second one to the wrong address again with a note saying sorry sent to the wrong address first time !!!
The part was only small and not worth a lot of money , the guy who it went to wrongly was a nice old gent who went out of his way to help , I had to make two trips across town to locate the part , Burtons had the money in the bank the day I ordered the part ...........I will be talking to Andy Burton on Monday.
