Cheers guys for all the replies. Have to say I'm really fired up about the car again. First time in ages it's been my only project so should be able to crack on with it.
Now what do you think of the stance in the scanned photo?
I've always thought the rear springs must be knackered because she sits so low but it would seem it was the same back in 1980 when that photo was taken? Still on the original multi leaf springs. Decambered back in the day?
I fitted -1 inch springs to the front a while back but it's still at bit nose up in the current photo. -2" may be needed....
Steels all the way, never had any of those nasty 4 spoke things on and never will.
Integral garage at home means I have to try and restrict the smell of white spirit and warm Ziebart.
Underside of the bonnet is going to be a bugger, horse hair type sound deadening has left it's backing. That along with the Ziebart is 5mm thick in places.
never seen one with alloys on back in the good old days the car picture was in 1979 outside me mums house the wheels was the other month i have both but prefer the steels
Brings back memories of TLT49M when i had it , alot of the Ziebart had gone there was still loads to remove , Great Car and Great story , keep the updates coming
