  • EOO, Mk1 Escort - Rebuild

Hi folks, thought id start a thread for my bigwing mk1 ''EOO'' since thats her now in the workshop and getting prepared to get the ''treatment''.

I have owned the car for a few years now and we have done the odd repair etc like fitted new sills, diff, prop, engine, box, suspension etc etc... however during all this the car has always been on the road.

So I thought it was time to pull her off the road and work some magic on the auld girl, as I havent had the chance to put our own mark on the car and bring it up to our spec.

So il let the pics do the talking of whats been done so far...

Heres a snapshot of her before going into the workshop... there will be lots of this kind of action when shes back out the workshop!

Here's some pics of the strip down so far...

Then just the other night we got her on the spit...

Also been saving up some new shell fabrication bits n bobs... cant wait to give it laldy with the cutting disc and mig!

    Cheers

            Thanks very much lads

Had a good shift in the workshop today.
Tackled getting all the underseal off... I aint seen a car with so much ****ing underseal! lol

Underneath it all though shes looking well... I have the odd patch here and there to sort aswell as blanking all the Ford original holes. Also require a front panel and a sill... I thought I had fitted two sills a few years ago turns out I done the drivers side so have a new sill for pass side ready to go on

Ended up taking the wing off so I could fit the whole front section of the sill and repair a section too.

All in all shes looking well and the chassis legs and floor are all like new just some bits needing attention.

            Heres some snaphots,

Also converted these bilsteins to coliovers
