Ade, I have some rims you can borrow to get a idea of the look you want and then order them up (6's,7' and 8's)

I have 8's on the rear with a big Atlas, fills the arch as you have seen but requires at east a 205 tyre. I think the ET5 mm throws in so a 7 with a ET of 0 would do the trick and then 185/60/13's are the way to go (still loads available in decent compounds)

I have also heard from several people that with that sort of power, 7's and 185's are the max you should go.

The car looks great by the way. Don't get all bufty on us now will you??

I can't wait to get out in mine (still a bit to do, but Sept this year is looking good)

Rally design often have sales on at the shows and the last news ones I bought last year were £55 each for 7's.

With your standard width english axle and those tarmac arches, you'll get 9" rims on the back and 8" rims on the front or to keep it simple 8" rims all round with some longer studs and spacers on the back!
The minilite copies Rally design sell are good value for money!
          Hope this helps!

Thanks for that.I had a ring around today and Peter Lloyd do a set of eights with road tyres for £620 posted...???
I looked on their website and their eights have an ET6...so the rims are wider than mine but the pull in is more!..

Btw..I googled the reg today and found a pic of my car from the armstrong massey rally in 2002.

As it's got forest arches on it Adrian have you thought of doing the white Cassack decals...???
I've not seen anyone else with them.

              Mark....

Thanks Mark....Taff suggested the same thing.....I have looked about but there doesn't seem to be any decent reference pics to make a decal kit from though?..There is a later kit on ebay which would obviously be more straightforward but you have both got me thinking now...

Thanks for the pics Graham..how good does that look?...I really do like the later black decals more i think though...I could change to the white i s'pose at a later date when i fancy a change..

Talking of which i have done a couple more jobs this afternoon. Its nothing that has cost any money just elbow grease.
I have cleaned the underbonnet area thoroughly.I am going to change the garden hose that goes to the catch tank though!

That then made behind the grille look too white and spoiled the look,so off with the grille,a bit of masking and everything done with a rattle can satin including the grille.

I then did the sills and door handles.

Followed by the exhaust back box.
I also fitted the original rear bumper from mexico which i had powdercoated. It wasn't good enough for the mex,but perfect for a rally car.I followed all this with a good t cut all over..Like i said todays
activities cost about a tenner but i reckons its looking better already.

Did you get the pics and measurements of those spacers mate? Cars looking really shiny there, can't beat a bit of elbow grease!

If you do go with spacers then I reccomend the Hubcentric style along with longer studs
