  • My new Rally car arrived today...

As you are no doubt aware i have been looking for a while for a car to use and abuse for track days etc..I spotted this car a bit ago and knew it was the one for me.I couldn't get to see it as i was going on holiday and it seemed as though it wasn't meant to be as when i returned it had changed hands.
It then reappeared(i am sure you have all spotted it) and i just had to have it.Its absolutely and totally what i was looking for.Its a reasonably tidy and solid clubman rally car.Its been done to a decent standard in the past and reckon its had a fair few quid spent on it.Some might groan at it only having a crossflow fitted, but for me its just perfect.I really couldn't be happier..

The plan is to get it roadworthy and then maybe do a couple of trackdays. It needs some new tyres but i am a bit concerned about the wheels. They don't really fill the arches as much as i would like. They are 7".Is there anything i can do to fill the arches better? Also what size tyres??.It has 185/60 13's at the moment.

Do i need spacers or are their wheels with a different offset do you know?

You could put a Capri atlas on it which is slightly wider than an English,

Or you would need to put on 8 or 10 inch rims on the back to fill the arches.

You can buy wheels with different offset. But then you'd have to carry two spares really! One front ,one rear
