If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.

        • Great thread always enjoy seeing where you are up to and you gave me the confidence to put a complete floor in my Mexico. Looks great now with a bit of colour.

I would however like to know how you plan to fit the wings without damaging too much of the protection and paint you have added. I only ask as I intend to do the same thing but not got a clue how to do it.

I plan to weld the wings on, it should only cause a small amount of damage to the paint around the edges that I can re-paint once they're welded on.
            cheers, Stu.

              • It's looking good Stu. keep the pic's coming.
Quick question, How are you going to fit the dash mounted rev counter, does your sport still have the original wiring for it? Just wondered as I've bought a sport rev counter but mine is only a 1100, I don't really want to cut the connector off to fit it.
Also have you got a sport dash top or are you just cutting a hole in a normal one? If you do have a sport one could you give me the measurements for the hole if you get any spare time/ Cheers, Andy

Hi, sorry I haven't replied sooner,
I have the original rev counter & the wiring loom came with it. I don't have the original sport dash top as it was missing when I bought the car, I've got a good 2 dial dash top I've cut a 1 inch diameter hole in for the rev counter,

                  cheers, Stu.

                  • Hi all,
Thought I'd better do a bit of an update, progress has been slow lately but its getting there

I've fitted the heater bubble with seam sealer & a few pop rivets to hold it tight in place while the sealer dries.

                    Welded on the front wings..

                    • Also been doing some prepping & seam sealing in the engine bay..

And given a couple of coats of filler primer..

                      thats it for now,

                      cheers, Stu.
