Well the search came to an end yesterday......i'm now a Mk2 RS2 owner again!
She's straight and there is very little rust - couple of patches under the floor - paint flaked not bubbling so i'm happy! But there is a shed load of little odds and sods to sort out - door pins, fits, boot lid alignment, d. door lock is tempremental bugger! Got a whiny release bearing as after the 150 miles home the clutch feels real notchy through the pedal, one wheel bearing needs a dose of looking at and after 10 odd years of sitting doing not an awful lot the brakes pull to the nearside! .......so hardly anything No doubt i'll find more as I go through it but its something that doesn't need to be done NOW, just as and when. I've got Zetec plans with my own fabricated EFI and Hayabusa TB's, 5 speeds already in there so that may need a freshen up and then the interior to get it less psuedo rally car more fast road tool. Updates won't be frequent but I may be tapping up the knowledgeable among you for tips or 'howja do dat mister' questions
