Finished the final bits off, fitted the mirrors, bled the brakes, got all the senders to work properly (but reverting to a light for the oil pressure). Tightened up the head bolts and balanced the carbs. Idle jets are a bit rich but I've got it booked in at the rollers next week. MOT tomorrow!! Should be ok but fingers crossed!

It passed. The brakes are all balanced nicely but still bedding in and so the pedal is a little unresponsive. I also have a slight leak on the carb and so I'll need to look at that before next weeks rollers. Roll-on the lakes tour!

Up and out early this morning to miss the traffic. Lovely day and when on song, its running ok. Still need to set tracking and a couple of rattles but put £45's worth of the super stuff in and set off to the rollers.

Interested in the figures but mainly on how it drives with the Rick Woods head and CNC cam.

Gaz - Before you say Its one of those coast rollers and so even if it did read 200 hp (dream on) it still be in reality on 25 !!

I'll give a report back in a bit, all being well and as long as the valves have not appeared through the bonnet!

It survived 186 bhp @ 7108 flywheel and peak torque of 149 lbs @ 5120 rpm. Coast down figures Gaz.

More than the figure's, it's pretty flexible. There is a slight leaning at just over tickover (1100 rpm) and it's apparently down to the progression holes in the 48's but you don't notice it on the way up, only on overrun, but I'll live with it from those figures.

Its has a couple of harmonics (read vibrations) now things are starting to settle in, but I can sort them. Keeps it's temp well and idles reasonable for the cam.

Good to see your car in the flesh yesterday, very tidy. I'm the one in the red Mk2 RS2000 that showered you with sh1te on the way down to Killington, sorry.
