The arches were cut by Zakspeed when they fitted the X-pack kit, and as for 1" thick filler

was this before it was painted metalic brown

How's this mota coming along, if at all?

Its still in storage as far as I know.
Is half done.
Hopefully will see the road again one day.

And there is no way Zakspeed put all that filler in it the kit had been on and off a couple of times in its life.
Not sure on the bronze?? left the factory in black.

Darran, how did you get those spot welds on the top mount reinforcers to look so accurate using a mig? To get them that neat usually you have to use a resistance spot welder.

Spot welds already on the top plates and the top plates are either plug welded or bonded on at a guess?

They were plug welded on,,,Marks good a making things look"right"

Ground flat,then da sanded to loose the marks and a spot weld drill to make the spot weld marks.
Each weld mark is measured off a 1979 genuine top plate.

It makes it just that bit better

Whats left of the bodged shell left will be getting worst,thats for sure

The metal work we done will last forever!!
Shame it stopped,would of been a good thread to see the car back on the road.
