Just out of interest how accurate were the measurements on the 4door, i took some measurements on to origional never welded 4 doors last week and between the 2 cars there was 4-5mm difference in the spacings of the centre chassis leg sections leading me to believe they cant of been the accurate from the factory???
That's pretty good considering these are 30 year old Escorts, and allowing for measuring inaccuracies and use and abuse. Were these two cars built in the same country? And were they from the same year, i.e. suspension pickup points????

This one cross measured within 2 mm.
But guess ford would of been a bit random.
Were going to go with this shell as a bench mark to repair the rs shell.
At least it won't need adjustable suspension!!!
Quite a bit will be cut off the 4-door shell to repair all the bad bits on the rs shell.
It needs to many panels from express panels,,,would cost too much so were better off using used orignal ford panels.

Front bulkhead tubbs beaten in at some point these will go for a replacement genuine bulkhead and poor repairs.
Rollcage mounts have made the inner tubs scrap! so were going for good used inner rear tubs.

We already have rust free inner tubs o replace these.

Thats had some savage repairs over the years! Suprised that steering mount is still attached.
I done a mini pickup recently, looked good as bought, once started cutting it was a mess.
220 hours of panel work to put it right.
