  • motivation required for slw 110r

Hi all. Went out to the garage this morning, mex was still there!! Its been a bit neglected Since I cattled the engine in august 2010.
Been slowly collecting bits to rebuild to a higher spec and now got nearly everything so decided to start a thred to give me some motivation to get her back on the road this spring.
Heres a few pics to get the ball rolling

          Engine is staying pinto
Upgrading bottom end from previous to run more compression with cossie rods and custom Je pistons.
Sp head is staying but going upto gts3 cam from ht1 to compensate my lost valve lift due to seats being cut too deep, bit of a compramise but can,t afford a new head at the mo.
          Should be 180 horse ish.
Going hydraulic clutch cos cables always melt and back to standard x member, can,t bare the vibration from wcxm.

Don,t think I,ll be doing the lakes, cost me over £800 last time

Sounds like it is going to be a nice engine. Maybe we should have a Southern Lakes

Will be taking mine to brands RSOC next year

Yea went well before and was down on power, prob only 150 ish.
A southern tour would be good, I done one a few years back with a group of mates around Kent and Sussex, some really good roads.
Is that the local group meets at brands?

Sounds a great idea regarding the planned mods . Especially binning the WXCM as they are shite .
