MY MK2 RS2000 Resto and XPack Conversion

I have owned my base model RS2000 for just over 24 years now and it used to be my daily driver so to celebrate our Silver Anniversary ;D ;D next year she is getting a major makeover.
New inner winds, front panel, slam panel, radiator panel, sills, Fibresport x pack kit, new glass amd a full respray. If there is money available after all this then engine rebuild etc after New Year.
Some photos of the stripping out of the engine and being transported away to the Kingdom of Fife for all the bodywork!!...OVER TO ANDYG!!!

car arrived on tuesday spent a few days looking over it with a hammer and screwdriver to see the bulk of what is needed

















had a spare few hour on saturday so had a play with the air chiesel













at least the wings are good and they came of easy as the wing rails were only tacked at the front and rear one even came of with the wing



crossmember seen better days



thats it for now get some more done next week

Going to keep a close eye on this great project as its exactly what i want to do with mine when i sort the major rot out. Please keep the photos coming. The big question is where on earth can i get an X pack body kit from

My car needed both rear wheel arches done and I always wanted an xpack but as everyone who knows me, I will never get rid of this car so thought why not convert it to xpack.

I placed a couple of wanted ads on here, SOSE and RWD and a set came up....timing and luck...not often either happens to me!!
