Turbo is big enough for 650bhp on rotary so 800+bhp on piston engine . Small compared to the RX7 drag car parked next to it , that turbo is about 2 foot long !!!

Finished the dry sump mods last week so did some late night testing on Saturday and Sunday night . Holy Foooooook it's fast !!!!!! .
New batteries and seats next and then it's show time at Santa Pod . Que the haters with less power sobbing for another 10 years !!! ha ha

Weather is normally wank so when the sun's out i try a drive a few around the block especially if wifey goes out with the kids . Rude not too .

Latest progress on the Escort . New mapping sorted on the dyno last week so the engine now has a mega powerband right out to 9000rpm with only a 3bhp drop off from peak . Drives excellent as well so really pleased with it .
Also ditched the 2x heavy car batteries for 2x lighter ones and this has shaved another 15 kilos which will speed it up even further . Ditching the heavy recaros next for some comfy bucket seats and that will save me some more weight as well .
Should run low 12secs easy now so can't wait too give a full power demo to the crowds soon . BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRP .

I think people forget just how quick a 12sec car is, I was at bug jam at the pod last week and I forgot just how quick some of the 10 and 11 sec cars are! That top fuel funny with 8000bhp was some different altogether tho

Yes i've got some Italian bucket seats and they look a bit like Contours . Was going to fit standard 1100L seats as really light but i'll slide out of them at 80mph whilst sideways so i better not , lol .
The uk's fastest atmo 4 cylinder classic ford run at Santa Pod so far is now a 12.5sec so i'll be looking too beat this . I still have all the heavy bits on but have mega power compared to all the others that have since managed to run in the 12sec bracket since i first did it back in 2009 . I think i'll easy run a low 12sec so we'll see .
