Well wiring is all routed up....some of it wants shortening to tidy it up a bit, and I've started to remove some of the excess that's not needed, speaker wires etc, also to go will be the electic windows, but I'm keeping the central locking....so just waiting on the fuel tank now, once I have that I can make sure it all still works, then strip it back to a bare shell to start the final fix on the welding front
Wonder if I should keep the parking sensors

This mess is all going to sit up under the dash.

Tail light wiring, and tail gate wiring, only thing I need to keep from the gate wiring is the heated rear window.

Interior lights, central locking sensor, and sunroof wireing, sunroof wires are gonna be trimmed out.

    Airbag sensor, and fuelpump/guage plugs.

Top view of the dash brace, looks quite neat this bit

Wiper mech looks at home now.

Waiting on the fuel tank,,,,seams like an age, but I only commisioned it 10 days ago , once I got that, I can finnish up the rear fire wall, strip it to a bare shell and go hell for leather finnishing up the under neath and get some filler on it.

ok to answer that question, seating position is 8" further back than a standard MK1, feels right, nice to get into, but it does mean the central loop of a cage would be disecting the rear side windies, instead of following the B post.

As to what it will be used for? well, I'll answer that with, this aint gonna pass a BIVA, so what ever i can get away with.

But I'm stoked, first pics of my tank in progress

Thanks guy....it should be pretty sorted when it's done...its going to be no heavier than a standard compact...or possibly a coupe...so should be lively enough even if i just tweek the 1.9 thats already in there. already have a set of coil overs for it, and the front end is going down 70mm with adjustable top plates,so once the cambers set up nice it should be able to be planted into a corner
