  • The Mk1 Hybrid

Well, this is on many a forum, with a few good comments and a lot of bad, all critisisim is appreciated, from ""why are you starting with rusty assed metal", to ""Your welding is attrocious"", but at the end of the day, its getting acid dipped to remove all the crap, so i'm not to bothered, and all the welds no matter how bad looking, are penetrating,

A few of the pics at just tempory, but are shown further down were they are cut off and reworked... anywho, enjoy

Well its certainly different and you will have the best of both worlds with the mix of new and old Good luck with it and I for one will be intrested if it handles like a Bmw or a mk1

Well pics out of the way, it's going 4 litre V8 through a 6 speed box, with a 3 inch stainlees system, decat'ed.

Mainly due to the exhaust note, but also to carry the extra weight.....but saying extra weight, its actually 45kilos lighter than the BMW's starting weight...

Hopeing it handles like neither, the original Ti it tail happy and absolutly crap in the wet, a Mk1 handles like poo unless you throw serious money on every corner.

Luckily, its just a toy, nothing for competition

Amazing stuff!! I have sleepless nights wondering if I'll get my standard car back together. If I had to attempt something like this I think I'd have a nervous breakdown. Well done!
