Looks like a real good shell that mate only needs minor repairs compared to most these days! I've still got to scrape all the undersell off my chassis legs and boot floor, not looking forward to it as the inner wings took about 6 hours to do alone!

Thanks, I quite like making things like that. I was lucky in that this one was my first try at making the strengthener, normally I'd get it right on the 3rd try! lol

I've been spending lots of time on it there last few weeks. I've taken pics but not had the time to upload them yet. The shell should be rolling by later tonight.

                    • heres another bunch of pics for anyone interested. inner and outer sills, the drivers side a piller and splash shield all welded. i also fitted the suspension and steering so it could go to the body shop for the front end to be fitted and small repairs to the back panel and rear arches.....ill try and get pics when i pop in to see how its getting on.

                      heres the pics

ill get it back on saturday, and get it back onto the spit so i an strip stone guard and paint the floor.

its very strange not having it in the garage.

                              • thanks guys.

i went to see the mex today and took a couple of pics. one of the rear arches had a small rust section in the middle and also the lip was a bit crap so it all was replaced to make solid and the lips have been rolled slightly to give extra tyre room.

both sides of the rear panel where the chassis leg meets the panel have been cut out and replaced.
he was in the middle of checking the fit/lining up the wings, slam panel and front panel today......im hoping it went ok as im picking the car up tomorrow!
