It would be better to take some masking tape and write on it which each plug is , then stick it to the connector so when the time comes it will save a lot of headache

Thanks ddc, you're a lot more logical than me.

Still spending my time unbolting stuff and tranferring to the loft.

Revealed a dodgy spot where the passenger inner wing meets the front panel. Some work required here!

Looking good, be a very nice car once finished.

Keep the bits more organised than I did, I'm spending all my time now sourcing pieces I have lost

              Making good progress there mate.
Another wee suggestion is to get some of those small zipper freezer bags and keep the nuts and bolts, screws etc in them and label what they are for . Again it will save with the headache
Keep up the good work though will be worth it in the end

Cheers Fraser, I'm OK at the minute since I'm only taking stuff off and if it doesn't fit in the loft it stays in the garage. Must have a chat next time I'm up at Balmoral.

Thanks ddc, What I'm doing at the moment is putting everything back where it came from. At the moment all I have lying about is the nosecone fiddly stuff, and one bolt on the top of the inner wing which I haven't a clue where it came from! When I'm chopping and need to remove bolts I'll use bags as you suggest.

Need some lecky in there first taffr. My bro is on the case (he works for CEF) and that's the next priority. New consumer unit and SWA down the garden to the garage. There'll be sparks soon honest!

Cheers Shifty. I have something to aim for ^^^.

No update to post, all I've done in the last couple of days is take the servo and inlet manifold/carb off. I'll be back when there's something more interesting to post.

Bought another set of axle stands and a little trolley jack so that I could attack the back end. The end result was...

I've asked this over on Turbo Sports also, Will it be possible to drop the remaining "big" bits down as one chunk? Trolley jack under the engine and box, remove gearbox crossmember bolts, front anti-roll bar bolts, strut top bolts, engine cross member / chassis connection bolts. The whole lot could be lowered down and there would be little weight left in the shell, maybe lift the front end up and wheel out the engine and box. I may be talking tish though. Just trying to save on hiring an engine hoist.

You can lower it all in one ( done it many a time ! ) just remember you'll still need height clearance, handy to have a couple of mates around also !! Good luck.

Cheers Fat Cat. It's just me I'm afraid, don't have any mates, that's why I'm spending all my days in the garage. I'll work something out.

I'm leaving it as it is for the next 3 days, going out with the family before the little guy goes back to school next week.
