  • Cheers Aaron, wire wheel on mini grinder and emery tape. on worst. Primed and black gloss cans.

Fronts arches had been done for a while, till I built up courage to cut rears! Lol.

Just need time to do some more, always doing something else at weekends.

      • Back again!
Managed toplate inner arches, and decided to fit a panhard rod and tower, bit of work involved but a strong job.
        anyway a few pics

Bit of a job reaching into boot and trying to weld round this, but nearly there a few more strengtheners and jobs done.
        Cheers Martin

        • Panhard rod tower all finished and axle trial fitted.
Got a question how does folk overcome the problem of panhard rod fouling on brake rod, do you fit a separate handbrake cable for each side?
heard about fitting morris ital cable, just not sure how.

          A pic showing problem

          Thanks

                • Started to bare metal front wings, there was a few rust blemishes so used 80 grit on the sander, but struggling to remove these pitted in rust spots.
was thinking about por 15 to treat wing or something like that.
                  what you reckon lads
                  Cheers Martin.

                  • You could use a small spot blaster or try a wheel called a mule skinner it goes in a drill. It's what I used on one of my wings that had the same problem.

                      • Did the bonding work OK ?, looks like you resorted to spot welds in the photos above.

                        • Not exactly to plan, had bonded well just went to bare metal and noticed a loose section, so nothing i could do but pull it apart and clean up, so decided to spot weld not ideal as bonding would stop moisture build up.
just hope the rears are ok, as have welded fillers in now!

                              • Larl update, wings are away getting lightly blasted to rid rust.
Moved gear stick hole back to accept rs box.
                                And fabricated some chassis gussets.
pleased with the fit of them, just need welding in now.
                                another step closer.
