  • Martins Mk1 restoration

Picked up mk1 from shrewsbury last august, been doing bits to her on and off since then, as in other thread fitted new quarter bumpers and brackets and a set of rs alloys.
Over the last couple of weeks have stripped axle out cleaned and gave lick of pent, and fitted new bushes, and refitted.

Ever since fitting rs alloys with 175/70/13 tyres they catch on wings when cornering hard, so decided to fit a set of 2.8 struts converted to coilovers with rbtms. A few pics of converting to coilovers after removing old 2.0 capri struts.

Fitted new struts and took out for Lakes tour shake down, what a transformation was light to turn before but now a lot more feel through the steering, well pleased and handles 100% better.
A couple of pics out and about.

Cheers for the coments In about 6 months she's getting stripped and put on the spit, and having some steel bubble arches fitted and a good all going over!
