If you are looking to improve the rear end a little, I used to do the rilsan coated driveshafts when I worked for GKN so I can point you in the right direction for a pair, I also know about the fabled CV shafts that never really happened. If you are going for the resto and not an upgrade then you won't need to know about the Monarch Stag parts (3 series BMW rear end conversion), if you do want something a bit more up to date and servicable though have a look at the web page.
