  • The beige Bomber

got a new project earlier this week, a beige escort estate 1.3L , she's a two owner car and one of those had it for 30 years and its been garaged for the last 23 years, very original car waxoiled from new too, i've got the original paperwork with the new invoice to the original owner, originally from essex came over to reading late last year then onto me just last week, started to strip her out for a pent job in september so today i've been removing the waxoil and some other parts, gonna have an all over pent job with two new front wings and the engine bay freshly done, here sre some pics to start us off, sorry you did not get a pic with the bvr fitted but i had to rip it off as soon as i got back

got stuck in this afternoon, everything came off with no trouble at all, when i get the lump out then i can get to grips with the waxoil, but great news about the points that normally rot, rust free, found a sticker up near the offside strut and a tap on the block, its sahara beige but on the original bill of sale it states nevada beige, motorcraft electronic ignition, before i stripped her i got the motor running just to check it worked, sweet as a nut, sounded great with the exhaust it had on it with some original ford stickers, a few more pics of todays graft

lots of waxoil about, whats the best thig to get the shite off ???????

                            nice work Graham

I missed this when the old couple were selling it in essex by about an hour, rang up and the wife "said oh someones just rang about the car and is coming straight over to buy it and collect"

thought it looked a good un then, glad it's ended up with a worthy owner

so pinto out of the stripey one ?
