Fitted the cam cover sticker (although pretty sure they wernt fitted to cars from factory, unlike mk1's) stand to be corrected on this?

Reversing lights not working turnes out to be switch in box, looks like the original one has been cut down and fitted to the type 9, anyone know what lengh it should be as the switch works ok but either its too short now or device in box not working (will have to try thin bolt in switch hole to feel for movement when reverse selected)

                • Got the switch working by drilling and tapping remains of peg in switch and screwing in a 5mm bolt cut to length (about half the threaded section in length) thankfully it worked a treat

Checked over lights and other electrics prior to MOT, replaced inner lamp bulb and had to fit spare washer motor.

Think photobucket have been swapping things round thats why didnt put pics up so will add again.

                          • Well got a fresh ticket today

No issues but battery/starter wernt happy as when went to go home it wouldnt start

Had to get a jump start, even then it took a while to fire up.
Sometimes it spins over well others it is slow, know compression is high but dont know ratio as didnt measure chambers of head to work it out (no pipet or syringe) but was 200 psi on comp gauge (haynes states about 160-170 std).

Had this and had to buy a geared starter. All good now.

                              • Now car is legal took her for a drive around some local country roads and stopped off to take some pics

Started fine and again after petrol station so think will see how it goes before getting a geared starter, thanks for info though Kev.

When hot she likes to run on, cant say if used to do this as never ran engine enough to get upto temp but headgasket I fitted was thinner than the one i took off, have retarded dissy a touch but doesnt appear to have made any difference?

Pics of trip out, going to Scotch corner All Ford Day Sunday 28th.
