Gave her, her 1st wash and fitted new plates with dealer info (Thanks Topaz) also new rear lenses (copies but are ok after a little work with drill and file) original Altisimo ones had fine cracks in that I couldnt remember being there when stored
Checked front suspension bolts and torqued them up, fitted split pins where needed.
Paint marked strut bolts etc as factory (maybe a bit anal but it cost nowt and i think it looks good)
Put carpet in boot (does the spare wheel strap hide under the carpet or go over the top and through cut in carpet, mine didnt have a boot carpet when I got it, this is out of a Ghia so spare wheel bracket would have been on side not top as RS does)
Did similar job to my 1st RS's consol, this one had been cut away so it hides this well, have to dig out some tapes to put in holder
After washing her, Son just back from Scouts over weekend with his backpack managed to get in shot
That is absolutely gorgeous mate and a real credit to you. love under the arches its just flawless .
Like what you`ve done with the centre console just that wee bit different eh.
Just need decals for the bootlid and a badge .
But yeah very very nice
Have a set of silver stripes that I bought when was originaly going to paint her Black, thinking of fitting these as will be a bit different and think will look good?? Waiting to give her a final polish before applying them (Nosecone hasnt been mopped yet either)

But that was really the point in the post, I have done the car pretty much as standard as thats the way I like to see them, dont intend to thrash it about and remember my old car being good fun in a similar standard state.
Looking forward to showing her during the season but doubt will get into the concourse thing as think it could take over and would loose out on enjoying the car. But back to the original question about the stripes, if had intended to do the car Blue from start would have got black stripes for it, but with already having the silver and thinking they will look good on the car am tempted to go that route. Just thinking that the anorak in me might not be 100% happy Hence the post
YOu could always try that photoshop thing that people do. Try a pic of your car and put some silver lines on it. OK it wouldn`t be the best but it would maybe give you an idea instead of applying the stripes and then thinking `i don`t like that` and having to remove them again !!.
Don't put the silver stripes on because you already have them, put them on only if you would like them. If you don't, someone else will buy them off you and that will pay for a set of black ones!
