  • Decided to start new year off by fitting the underbonnet stickers (E11 and white one next to it) and some old original period Motorcraft stickers for coolant, service and nice caricature advertising sparkplugs (do like period stuff)

E-Bay has been really usefull for such stuff and the odd hard to find part etc.

    Some pics

    • Well done on the vinyl roof, it's not an easy job to get right. I did mine last autumn and was worried about it too but turned out fine.
as a matter of interest, why di you stop the vinyl at the top of the A post rather than run it all the way down to the bottom? Were all RS's done this way because mine was originally down to the bottom and that's the way I put it back?

      • I got the roof from East Kent that went right down the A post but didnt have the seam at the top as original type did.

I decided to cut it short and actually prefer the look, have enough vinyl to cover posts in future if decide to go original look but prefer this look, been some debate as to whether factory fitted were all down post and dealer ones short but at end of day its what I like.

                    • No pics affraid as work done is mainly out of sight ( Lots of Waxoyl in box sections, doors etc)

Made up a plastic spacer to square up the Capri mirror (6mm at bottom to next to nothing at top)

Hope to have a new front screen next week, so once this and the rear is fitted can start re-fitting the interior

                        • No problem Andy

Have had a bit of luck with windscreen (courier smashed my other) got cheque for screen plus carriage from DHL. My brothers friend works for a windscreen firm he managed to get me a replacement bronze tint, added bonus in that I ordered the standard one but they sent a top tint one so getting at cost still a bit more than the first one but not too much.

Dragged the carpet down from the loft today
Gave it a clean and fitted it into car along with kick panel trims and glovebox.

Have taken a pic of the Tee shirt I got off E-Bay (its almost Riviera)
Nice touch in that he can add the cars reg number onto the shirt

                          • Screens are easy. Got the number of a lad who gets them and will fit real cheap, clear and bronze. Green needs to be ordered.
