Have managed to fit the vinyl roof to the car, never done one before so was quite nervous about getting it right so measured and marked up before fitting it. Did the middle part first (rear then front) then once cured did sides (did this as roof had single stitch along seam and didnt want to risk it moving when pulling sides down)
Turned out ok although think elec bill will suffer due to heater in garage (will blame the Xmas lights)
Fitted the C pillar trims, big thanks to Rob again nervous about drilling car, ended up having to drill 2 holes 5.5mm to form a slot to get trim bolts to sit against body, offered the trim upto the side of the car and used paint on the stud to mark where to drill, did side first then top as cant really see where to drill with trim sitting up high on studs.
Gutter trims went on better than I thought they would, used heat gun to help.
Fitted mirrors, had to drill drivers side as car came with standard mirror.
Thanks to Bandisht for dimensions for remote fixings
Drivers mirror looks slightly sloped (not square, has a gasket fitted but should there also be a spacer to square it up?)
Looked at pics of my old RS and it looks square from front but cant tell if has spacer or not, mirror location on door looks same but angle not quite?
Havent fitted crash pad top yet as waiting until windscreen fitted, Custom decal will then be re-fitted. Ashtray was black so re-painted choc brown looks better match in daylight than does under the flash!
Got front and rear screens to fit then waxoil before re-fitting the interior.
Peter.

Hello Pete congratulations on rescuing another one. You have done a fine job on the old girl and the car is now a credit to you and all the hard work that you have put into it. Well done you deserve a pat on the back.Naturally Aspirated Power

Think one of those jobs that would be much easier done with a few mates in summer in a large garage as apposed to by yorself in winter in a single garage
Rob has informed me on my post in tech section that Capri mirrors have diff angle so that might explain the diff?
Loking at my old RS pics again it might be that the base part of the mirror that bolts to the skin might be longer (hard to tell, need to measure one to compare. mine measures 50mm from joint to mirror housing to bottom of base)
Thanks to all for comments
Looking forward to the spring!
