  • X pack freshen up

well, after saving up a few pennies, i can now start on the X to get it sorted -

going to strip down the engine ancillaries, make good the bay and a few other bits - cant believe its seven years since it was done -

obviously the looms coming out for a full rebuild , going to do the bulkhead panel, refurb the carbs and put a new air filter on - got a new clutch coming too, so while the tran-x box is off, will fit a breather to the top plate (cant remember why we didnt do this when we fitted it in 05)

so will post some pics up as we go for your amusement, but in the mean time, heres a few after we turned it around tonight -

apologies about the Ju, i think shes been drinking

Did you check for spiders before you took the cover off!

A cracking looking car there Graeme! Does not look like much needs doing to it, I like it!

What type of seat cloth have you got in there?

it kept surprisingly well over the winter in the garage - just carpeted and a cover, may look into a 'carcoon' one day

the seats are the Scheel type Tim - in '06 i had a set covered in the scheel material (same stuff as the old bmw 3.0 csl etc) just to be different really from the fishnets and rolltops, although the Moorlands X has a set and they look superb - so they just had to be done

material was sourced and it was a darn lot cheaper that beta i can tell you
