Rolling road took place Friday
Then went off to Carlisle to service Mex1t's rally car with Cossie Si
Then after F1 today I took the head off and stripped it
Am now fitting 45.5 mm inlets and a new set of valve springs (valves were bouncing at 8000rpm)
Then off for rolling road again

No way could I live with valve bounce at 8K rpm
So Head off new springs and it would be rude not to put the larger 1.80" 45.5mm inlets with the head off - lol

Head back from Cylinder Head Developments - new valves fitted 1.80" / 45.5mm inlets
Been lapping in the valves again tonight
Off to machine shop in morning for a session on the miller to modify the head to fit the new valve springs (much thanx to Brett Simms Motorsport for the advice)
Hope to have running again on Sunday
Rolling road session booked for Wednesday

UPDATE
Many thanks to DJL Engineering - Wednesbury I have been using their spark eroder to make a tool to modify the Pinto spring seats and for letting me loose on his milling machine.
This is to allow "non-Ford" Kent Cams valve spring to be used to eliminate the valve bounce I was suffering at 8000rpm
1st pic is the spark eroder making the tool for 2 days
Then the finished tool and on the miller
The finished modified spring seat ready to begin rebuild (note the step still on the other valve guides prior to removal)
Almost finished tonight and engine should be running Sunday
