  • SKC in dry dock for a bit of pampering and detoxing

Took head off the other day.

Have been to Cylinder Head Developments today had head pressure and crack tested, ports been cleaned and guides checked for wear - All spot on

Been polishing the Paul Ivey valves ready to begin rebuilding head.

Overall everything looks good, pistons and bores all look great as well

Very pleased considering the stick the engine gets

Next on list is gearbox and clutch out for inspection.

Then diff out to check all is good.

you certainly do give it some stick Dave, seems a very strong engine you have, a de***e is a good idea once in a while,

              Moving along nicely now

Been busy the last 2 weekends with Mex 1T's MKI Rally car

But been back on the stick today grinding the valves and rebuilding the head with its new cam

A Burton BF63 (made and ground by Kent Cams) and followers

Paul Ivey Titanium valve spring retainers

Also note the pic of the inlet port full of liquid

This was brake cleaner and was used to check the seal of the valve against the valve seat
Carried this out on all the valves and all appeared sealed so time on the stick was well worth it

Valve heights were also checked prior to final build as well
