Thought I'd post the story so far, especially now the last of the Mexico's I had have now gone.
A mate of mine, Dave, had the Harrier for around 11 years, slowly doing it up with a couple of friends. He was involved with the Black Country branch of the Sporting Escorts group - I'd met the group on one of those Classic Car tours French trips way back in about 1993 when I had the 3 litre Mk1 Capri, we'd been friends since.
Roll forward to late 2006, Dave comes round and said he'd never be able to finish it - would I be interested. Come round and have a look...
Yep - on it's side in his garage after having the floor stripped and sorted out where it needed.
Paid the man, and 3 months later get the car home and on it's wheels to have a better looky. And a wash.

Front end was built up with genuine Ford wings and front panel already, replaced the bonnet with a better one off a silver Ghia I broke up a few years back.

Back end needed some more work, but the worst had been done before Dave had even bought the car years previously.
Interior was ok ish, seats still need trimming, but it's all there. Steering wheel well worn and replaced.
Replaced the passenger door, driver's side ok.

This is outside the bodyshop waiting for prep. Needed driver's side arch replacing which was done.
In primer coat after the body repairs

Boot floor had both wells replaced previously and not finished
More to follow......
