hi!
i havent posted much on here, as i was once too busy repairing a dying crossflow every other minute. but thats all changed as it has now been binned for a genuine ford exchange engine that has done roughly 10k since rebuild all in all it took me and the old un about 8 hours in total to swap them over (from one running engine, to another running engine) which although some of you can flick them in and out quicker than a fiddlers elbow, i was quite proud of.
new engine in transit from wales from whence it was taken from a tidy 2 door thats off to be group 4'd
out came the diesel and gunk and any other degreaser i could lay my hands on
day 2: at about 9 am the journey begins, the old engine (which i accidentally sprayed pink ) is unwhittingly descended on
after about 30minuutes of disconnecting everything, it was lifted from the car
shouldve really cleaned and tidyed up the engine bay tbh, but i needed the car the day after to get to work so time was of the essence,
if anyone wants a 1300xflow, that doesnt start in the mornings and has (in my opinion) done 190k miles, not to mention pours smoke from the oil filler neck, and uses more oil than petrol, then take the thing.....please
new engine lifted and poised waiting to go in
new engine in, and coneection of the vital stuff can commence
a bit of late night last minute work, as the throttle jammed open and had to be ajdusted
her as she stood on t'weekend, doesnt scrub up too bad for a 4 door
