Time to get her down off the spit,
made up this dolly which can be used as moving axle stands afterwards. can be raised over 700 mm.
adjustable and removable legs for easy storage. A pin goes through the rear legs and the jacking hole in the chassis.

hadn't noticed that in the picture, no , the paint drum is only holding up the back of the frame while I was lowering it down.
The shell was sitting on the trolly jack and axle stand and hanging from a roof hoist at the front.

Keep at yours, it will come together and then its great putting all the clean and new bits back on.

Well I have just read this Reto Thread from the start ,all I can say is stunning ,I actually looked at the last page first and thought is was another tidy up of an already concorse car how wrong was I
I would not even thought it was salvageable ,a credit to you PRS makes my exploits with SAG seem so minor .
Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming to give us lesser able resoration pundits hope

I would very much like to know which product you used to strip the nosecone I know you said it was a horrible job and I see you were using baco foil.......to stop the stripper from drying out????

"long hard road" as they say , but end in sight now. I'll post a few more pics soon. they might be some encouragement to all the guys at the 'rust removal' stage.

thanks for comments,
I tried soda blasting, bead & grit blasting, none worked as the Polyurethane is flexible and was only heating up rather than blasting.
I resorted to standard 'Nitromors all-purpose' paint remover (DIY shops)
The aluminium tape was just to protect the black grille & bumper as I restored them to black plastic finish - not painted.
Dab the stripper on small sections. Once it blisters,scrape off immediately with a plastic body filler spreader and those green pot scrub pads. Then wash with warm water to neutralise the stripper. Dry area and start next section
slow job.
