not sure on wheel colour yet, depends on what striping i put on, might go for olympic blue if i do the works colours or keep to silver if i do the RS200 striping

Few more bits n pieces finally sorted this morning, one step closer to finishing
Stripped the xr2 headights so i could remove the rust and then prime and satin black then, i bought a set of crystal clear mk1 golf healdights and they were totally differenet to what others on the forum had used so sent them back and i've sourced another set of crystal headlights theyre E marked and rhd but theyve a plastic backing and the headlight bulb holder aint the best fit but they look alot better the standard lights, got some escort mk2/fiesta clear indicator lenses and new screws, need to paint the quarter bumpers and then they can be fitted
Didnt want to use bonnet pins on the rear bootlid so ive used these spring catches not the easiet to fit, used stainless cap head bolts, washers and nylocs on all the fixing not the cheapest but they look tens times better, had to cut a section out of the rear bumper so the catches dont rub, gonna out some carbon fibre pieces behind the springs so they dont scratch the body, got to paint the bumpers and then that can fitted, the clear rears look lost on the white paint so gonna tint the top and bottoms of them in red tint spray and leave the indicators clear with silver bulbs
Got a recon'd steering rack of ebay for 99p so fitted that this morning, used 12.9 cap head bolts anad stainless wshers to fixed it on, just need to sort the column out next, i've bought a corsa c electric column but its way to big as its adjustable and it fouls the pedal box, so gonna sell that on and get a less bulky corsa b electric column, gonna add an extra brace across the front hoop of the cage so the column can be fixed to it for more strength.
Coilovers have been on order for about 5weeks ish, suppose to be a 9 week wait as i'm having them nickel plated instead of the usual zinc plated (goldy finish), in the mean time ive stripped down the rear beam of its drums etc.... bought a set of focus st170 rear brakes so waiting for them to come so i can get my mate to cut the stub axles of and get the focus stubbys to fit to it, kustom karl rose jointed front set up is on order also so if ita ll goes to plan everything should arrive on time so i can get the rear beam all bolted back on and finally put some rear wheels on it
Still trying to source another 2 litre silver top zetec engine mondeo so i can get the engine in before the coilovers/kustom karl setup arrives, desperate for one now, things can move on a bit further once thats fitted
