Hey guys, I have now started collecting the parts needed to restore my £500 bargain RS Mexico shell. To date I have

Rear bumpaer

2 new door skins

Rear valance

2 new wings

FORD front grill

Flat front bonnet

Deep dish steels x4

Spare wheel well panel and lower quarter

2 Recaro fishnets (although not correct for age of car.)

Yes, a roof has been obtained and will be put on shortly!

Below is a pic of my prop, grill, calipers, drums, anti rollbar, strut top mounts and servo which I stripped to bare etal today and painted.

HA HA HA Yeah....... im a Kwik Fit Manager down here in Paignton (Sunny Devon) I can tell you however that Continental have stock of 195/45v13's and they absolutely ROCK on standard RS rims with the car lowered or not! Of course I have 5 in stock but theres a good chance ive sold them............ to me

The reg is MGL 479P its a 1976 Daytona yellow Mexico.

Today I fabricated 2 new TCA anti rollbar washers as the old ones were shot and stripped, primed and painted the rear bumper. No great shakes but plodding along nicely.

HA HA HA trying buddy! Today I painted the rear shelf, vent grills behind rear windows and F O R D and E S C O R T badges in satin black, small bits but progress indeed! I have a welder and fabricator coming to give me a quote 2moro so will keep you informed.

7" Revolite polished deep dish with tyres

Headlining

RS loom

Rear seats

Scuttle grill

Headlamp bowls, lights, adjusters and rings

Master cylinder and res

Oh and the two Sunstar models I was missing!

We are now looking at second week in Feb to go for welding but hey its all good.
