are bleedin tv service went down today so i thought enough of the festivities, time to freeze me bits off ,so petrol can and scraper in hand cleaned some more of the 35 odd years of underseal and old oil off of her.
where it has been left and the original owner had not stripped it off previously it is like a new pin

keep in the warm for the next few months its bloody freezing out there .
no the game plan is to strip her right down to rolling have the shell plastic media blasted , the few welding repairs done and made good ..
god knows how long that will all take especialy with me ,but having said that it is booked in for a full concourse respray as soon as is humanly possible.
i would like to think it will be out for this years show season but more realisticly 2009 dont want to rush the finnishing details .

no other colour for it sunset red , my favourite avo colour of all time .
i would keep it sebring but in the old days every other mexico i used to break was either sebring or daytona and it doesnt do nothing for me these days after having that many go through my hands.

                              Twin Cam ?

Interesting that you say it was fitted with a Twin Cam, I just noticed that the loom fitted is of the type used from mid 69 to mid 70 as identified by the two plugs through the bulkhead one grey one red and also the large switch on left side of dash. Wondered if the first owner had reshelled an Escort Twin Cam into the service shell. Do you have a service no. on the body plate as it is possible to roughly date a shell from that? Any ideas of the first engine no. ?

the service shell number is 357 , and according to the plate was sebring red from the factory, this is the first time i have seen a service shell in colour as they where normally in primer.
                                the plot thickens.
