Cheers Lee, tbh mate its the only bit of the car that annoys me slightly .I done a grande job of it at the time but I thought I was going down the cossie turbo route with mega horses so thought it would have been good to have those extra bars in there over the rear wheels....but now im going n/a and want a nice simple grp4 look with less bars and tie them into the rear turrets...its going to be a nightmare job...I can just see it now...plenty cutting and grinding as im cutting everything out from the main hoop back!...then once iv got it all sorted I will be painting the whole cab...again!...cringe! lol
Best doing it now though as it will no doubt bug the hell out of me! lol

Thanks mate, I just prefer the oldskool handling. Our Mex has coilovers fitted and I like the handling of the leafs better on the blue/white mk1... Il see how things go with this set up and take it from there

Well then lads, managed to get away from work sharpish today and got steamed into the car again....

Started on the cage today and well it aint gona be a 5 minute job and from right at the start after cutting the first bar im thinking ''aw man this is gona be a right c*nt of a job!'' ....but as im a perfectionist when it comes to things (sadly) lol can be good but at the start of cutting the cage not so good! lol

After a few hours this was the outcome...aswell as me left with vibration white finger! lol

Hi Andy, no mate, stroke of luck tonight found a 7ft bit of roll cage tubing and about a 3ft bit lol....so if I watch what im doing then that should be enough!...measure twice cut once n all that lol

Another small update boys and girls...never went mad tonight as I think all those hours jammed in the car is taking its toll on my legs lol...hot bath and good drink the night me thinks! lol

Plated the holes where the original 6point cage was on the inner wheel arches and made up a bar on pass side and welded up...
