Graham John: Lol yes we have had a few cars and kept there plates, some of the cars are still in the stables too lol
Davecos4x4: Nice 1 Dave thats some 3door you have there!...hows your mk2 coming along?
Time for a very small update folks, due to my time going elsewhere recently and my engine and box money getting spent on a scoob the mk2 has been lying patiently gathering dust ....however! I have a host of goodies taking up one of the rooms in the house ready to be fitted
Actually thinking about doing up the pinto that was in my rs originally with a set of 45's or 48's to get her out on the road and to some shows. Gives me some time to save up some more money again for a stonker of an engine...which she will get as she deserves it!
Next on the list with the car is to weld in the grp4 seat runners then prob door windows, door cards and al carbon bits n bobs, wiring loom, dash, sort out the front end brakes struts etc then it will be time to slot in an engine and box....not be long now if I get my finger out and stop tinkering with other things! lol
hi mate ur car has came on good there lots of good work as well .a few good goodies going on it eh.what engine u putting in it ???
Hi mate, thanks its taken a hell of alot of time and effort to get her to where she is just now. Engine is going to be over 250bhp n/a id like around 280bhp...although as I now have the scoob (engine money lol)...im going to do up her own pinto and stick that in just to get out and about to shows etc and in that time I can save up for a belter of an engine
Petrolhead: LOL!...Ok mate il get some pics up...well it is a rally car after all and they were good enough for mcrae lol il upload some pics the now bud
1st of all I must say that she is nowwhere near as shiney as what she was in those pics....covered in dust and a bit of offspray ...however she will be getting a good jet wash then hand wash then after that if needs must the proffesionals will be coming to give her a good going over : ...theres a lad that I know with a detailing buisness and he is willing to lend a hand if needs must
So the reason I actually came on here to update this is that I have just ordered some new parts that will get this build moving again!
Ordered up a pair of front Bilstein coilovers c/w 2 1/4 springs, roller top mounts, 300/70 inserts and 275 poundage (will sort that when we collect them) also ordered large bearing grp4 hub kit...so with these parts and the other stuff I have lying il be able to get the wheels on and get her out for a wash!...finally! ...will also get some pics too with her new shoes on!
p.s I am still going to attack this cage once she's down and had a wash...not looking forward to it tbh...but needs done!
The goodies have arrived!
Wont be long till she is out for a well needed wash lol
Got a fair bit done the night after work...just fitted the coliovers/struts along with the standard tca's and arb for now as I still need to purchase the new tca's and quick rack...still to fit adjustable tca's, tension strut kit, wcxm and hd grp4 2.2 quick rack c/w rs2000 green track rod ends
Il let the pics do the talking as im away to pour another dark rum
Looking good Craig, bout time though LOL, my JEM Pinto still going strong, not had accurate dyno figures but the estimated fly horse on Sitech's uncalibrated rollers was 186, had a wee tussle with an Astra VXR last sat and he only started pulling away from me when i hit the limiter in 5th at just over 120ish, he wiz gutted, LOL, a m8 of mine was walking his dog in the woods as we passed and said the Astra wiz silent followed by Mr Webbers finest wide open 48's at 7600 revs absolutely howling. LOL.
