              • as to answer what colour the car is going to be well charlie is painting the car diamond white inside and out on the floor then i am taking it back to my barn to decide what next but i am swapping it for another mk1 to be restored as i am not sure what to do with the RS1600 big wing shell as they dont come up very oftain now but i have always wanted a ex works car.I also own a pre production RS2000 that was in the 1974 RAC rally its LHD and was number 187 but DNF,the reg is XWC182L driver H druce nav P taylor and JOHN WILLMENT entered the car,Sebring red. IF anyone knows anymore please tell.

                    • Hi been a while since i was on here , holiday with kids etc

Made some good progress of late , the long awaited ex pressed inner wing came recently and have to say quality and fit were spot on , please see pics

Last pics were of n/s door post repairs, o/s has been completed but it was a tough job as inner post was corroded very bad. Managed to repair same but had to put some hours into it. see pics.

On a negative note johnsons where spence and i work have anounced last night the second wave of redundancy's are on there way. So i might be doing a bit more restoration work soon if yous know what i mean.

Anyone know much about setting a website up ??? Any help would be apprecated please pm me and i will get in touch

                      Long live the grinder's

                          • O/S Door post

Rough, notice how swollen, you can see how bad inner post is

Door outer post removed and inner post being repaired

Not going to upload loads of pics as very similar to n/s, below is a pic of outer doorpost fitted. Was pleased to put this one to bed tho
