It's also pretty unheard of for someone to get a car back immediately after it's been recovered, forensics take their time to look for evidence.Originally posted by JJM View Post
Tried selling the shell even tho an investigations still apparently under way didnt think you could sell evidence then listed all the previous owners names and addresses ha ha.
As far as I know the lad that had his series 1 RS Turbo stolen & then recovered from Thrussington back in February still hasn't got his car back!

The investigation is still in full force as there's a lot of people involved. It is the same shell.Originally posted by Andyc View PostWhat is going on here Is some one trying to pull the wool or what, is it the same shell or not?.
It's no longer needed by the police. They took it away and did forensics on it when it was recovered. They did a price estimation on the shell and gave it back to me shortly afterward.Originally posted by JJM View Post

I love all the skeptics. You got me guys! My car is an Australian imported automatic that's a LHD and it wasn't ever stolen in the first place. More conspiracists in here than people that debate 911 and the moon landing.Originally posted by escortmad79 View PostIt's also pretty unheard of for someone to get a car back immediately after it's been recovered, forensics take their time to look for evidence.

Here's a copy of my letter from the recovery company just to help put your minds at rest.
The car was stolen on the 20th March and recovered on the 24th March. I got this letter through from them the next day and I think I was able to pick up the shell around a week or so after that.

I'm going to be relisting it on eBay tonight as I had time wasters and also I ended up getting booked on a week long shoot so was unable to fit people in very easily. Hope you're all as jolly as ever!
