I had exactly this, al, in 1996. I had bought a new car and 3 months later the dvla informed me that someone had applied for a log book with my reg. and if they didn't get a reply they would issue them one! even though I had the new invoice as proof. locked it up in the garage thinking somebody was out to steal it, until a few weeks later it turned out that a dealership had just made a clerical error. a bit scary how easy it could happen though.

Dave
It can still be deleted though
Are you blaming the thread for what has happened to Werthers ?
None of the reg's listed have chassis numbers so on there own are no good to any body !

don't think he is Dave, however the thread may have given or may give others easy access to plenty of old cars to try and apply for their logs books.
As I said earlier ALL Rallye News etc etc need destroying as well
They are even for sale on Ebay

up to you Dave.
All the pictures on Google and Photobucket will also have to be deleted that features an Escort as it may give the type, colour and reg etc etc etc
As I said its no good deleting just 1 thread it will make no difference

If whoever did apply for Werthers log book HAD been on this website then it was clear WAE 960T was alive and well in Allans garage !
If you put WAE 960T in Google the first responce is a thread from this Website and the second responce is from The RSOC website
I cant believe this log book has actually even been applied for

We have a large number of vehicles to look after with the company and private vehicles so we do have a very strict filling system in place.
