Took the car out for a pre 'lakes tour' shakedown. As I had just fitted the 69 litre tank I went to the petrol station for a fill up ( 
) , stuck the hose in and was just about to start pumping when I thought something didn't look right, the filler was at a strange angle. Stuck the hose back in the pump and had a look at the car.......the rubber filler neck had come off the tank . Had I started filling I would have just filled the boot up .....might have been cheaper than filling the tank though 
Fixed the problem and did about 40 miles , now its covered in flies , so its Thursday and Friday off work for a wee clean.
