So if I did not do it the way I was going to is it possible
for a person to have more than one policy to there name
if so I would happily pay for a proper policy. And at the end of the
day I want the mex to be as safe as possible. Cheers for the info lads

You can have as many motor policies as you like James, as long as you pay (through the nose).

The reality is you need 2 proper ones.

Driving your Mex on gagage cover will only give you "book value" in the event of a claim, which will be an insult to your car.

An agreed value is only possible on a classic policy and you are too young for that.

I do not know the answer to your problem unfortunately.

p.s. The ST ins. was actually cheap. My previous insurer wanted €2.5K!!! and nobody else would quote. The road tax was only €20 p.a. cheaper @ €961.

I had a MK5 RS2 and they wanted £600 for that, hence i sold it!!! apparently it is to do with the availability of spares etc... in contrast my renewal has just arrived for the rally car and thats a bargain (AON)

Thanks for the info Dermot. I think it is the way to go alright
and I have no probs paying that if everything will be above board.
When you come to think about the insurance on the ST was about
norm I suppose its the TAX thats scary.
