Have been offered free upgrade off Orange but I am unsure what model to go for

I usually choose Motorola flip and last phones were V635

I have all ways been a nokia person up until the phone i have now sony ericsson k750i and i think its a great phone, easy to use , very good camera and features , if sony bring something else out that is as good next time my upgrade comes around i wont be going back to nokia

Hi Dave,

While choosing a phone, it's better to decide the features you're going to use mostly. Also, size and weight matter. Battery life might be another consideration. Although nearly all recent phones have web browser, due to their small LCDs it is hard to use internet capability (e.g. some Nokia 6000 series do not support some web applications). So if you want to use internet, you should prefer smartphones like 7710 or 9000 series or Ericsson's P900 series . These phones will also have some features like camera, bluetooth, mp3 player etc. Some phones with flipping/tilting/rotating cover function can be problematic because of their moving/mechanical parts. They can be easily damaged. Camera with flash is a better option.

As topaz mentioned, memory is an important issue also.

p.s. I'm using Nokia 6630...
