  • Opinions please on ride height.

To cut a long story short, last year I lowered my mota 2" all round. The front seemed to sit slightly lower than the back after lowering but didn't before. Decided I didn't like it, tonight I have removed the rear 2" lowering blocks and front springs and fitted standard springs. Got car back on wheels but still it sits lower at the front, not bad but very noticeable. If I refit the 2" lowering blocks on the back, do you think it would daft or should I go to 1" lowering blocks.

Feel free to post your opinions guys, cheeRS!

i think you need a 1 inch block as if you put the 2 inch back on it might look to low.....but all mk2 sit lower on the back than the front

yeah I'll try and get some up over the weekend. I measured from the middle of the wheel centres to the bottom of the wheel arch's and the difference between front and back was approx 1/2 inch so thinking 1" blocks would be better.

i'm feeling harrased here....... is there an HR or welfare department associated with this site??

i agree meister, i thought my -2" drop was a bit too much...... as you may have read in my posts, i removed my lowering blocks, but i still had to have the front -1" to keep it level, but i may have decambered rears springs, as it sits lower at the rear than a standard car with no blocks. i'm not sure a 1/2 inch discrepency is going to be enough to worry about, just keep the tank full to level it out.....LOL.

be careful not to go all 'monster truck' like neil

Well I've gone and ordered a 1" lowering block kit today from Burtons so we'll see how she looks with those on. I think arse down looks better than nose down to be fair.

By the way Kev I was watching Used car heaven on men and motors last night and your mk2 was on it with bonnet up at some show they were at!!
