  • May be for sale RS2000

This is not my car but belongs to a very good friend of mine.

He is interested in getting some idea of it’s worth so I said I'd ask on here.

Difficult I know know from a few pictures but sensible answers please.

As you can see he has had it for a long time and I know he has not reached this point easily

    1980 RS2000 Custom
Teracotta with beige fishnet Recaro trim
    One owner since 1988
    Genuine 111,000 miles
Current owner has all the MOT certs since 1988
    Totally unmodified original example
    Currently garaged and declared SORN
No MOT currently but could be done easily if it adds to the value
    significantly

    The car is in Essex

Tough one, without seeing it in the flesh, but it may make the best price on E-bay. Good exterior colour - worst possible interior colour

Where in Essex ? As if it's not too far from me I could give it the once over and offer some advice if you like ??

There's money to be got for these in any condition, and if the history is all there, it may make up for the condition somewhat.
    Cheers Rob.

one sold on ebay in very simliar condition for £1800, your m8's one looks like it needs more work, i.e doors, archs, interior probarly - it all depends on the floors chassis etc

I think somewhere between 2-3k Vinny, I'll second The Hoarders offer and go with if your friend likes. Any opportunity to BS about RS2000s

looks like it needs plenty spent without seeing the floors or chassis, its hard to think why anyone would spend that much on something needing so much work

like said earlier its very original , rare colour, but needs further investigation on the underside and under the bonnet.
              id say worth about £2500.
              good luck , tim.

the wheels look like the best thing on the car, shame to see its gone so far & would not be for the faint hearted......to restore her back to original if you could find beige cloth would cost a fortune....inner wings look like they need work as well, would be nice to see someone give it a full resto....i wont be surprised if it ends up in ireland....lol.....

For the sake of around £10, pop it on Ebay with a high reserve and see what people are willing to bid upto! you may be surprised how much some people will want it being a late model, untouched and rare colour/ interior.
