  • Ex-Pressed Steel Panels - HELP!

    Help!

I need a new front panel and rang Ex-Pressed Steel 10 days ago. Very nice chatty chap - said their pattern one was VERY good and for an RS2000 with nosecone absolutely sufficient. I asked for a price to send it to France.........

Since then I've called back FOUR times and it's always been "very very sorry m8, I'll get onto it myself and give you a call back right away"

FFS, tomorrow will be my FIFTH call to them and I guess my last one.

Can anyone recommend a different pattern front panel or different supplier of the ex-pressed pattern panel who's actually interested in doing business?

I can get the one I put on OFE for £38 in vat andrew, and you would be hard pushed to tell the difference from the real Ford one. if you want me to look into sending it ? would be willing mate

www.carpanels.co.uk they might get a better deal on shipping ? they are the main supplier but I get mine up the road from me

    Cheers

Cheers for the info Brian - I didn't know whether Hadrian Panels are also ok. I'll give them a bell. Trouble with sending it is that the dimensions exceed the postal services available to Joe Public, so it has to really be a company who've got a courrier contract, otherwise you end up spending £100 !

BTW, I used your postvan link to get two door panels picked up in UK and sent to Germany. Worked absolutely brilliantly, cost 50% of the DHL, FedEx etc., rates and was EXTREMELY fast! (unfortunatel the front panel exceeds their dimensions (sum of all 3 dimensions max 200cm)

I have a spare genuine Ford front panel - but as you say shipping is a problem.

I could fold it in half if you like
          Cheers Rob.

Thanks for all the offers guys. After waiting 1,5 days for the "call you right back", I gave Old Cars & Parts in Munich a ring. They got back to me after about 12 minutes with a price of £65 + £35 postage so I ordered one there and then. It's the Denmark type so I hope it'll be ok.

This afternoon, Ex-pressed finally DID get back to me (after TEN days) with £100 postage costs.

If the Danish panel is rubbish I'll be taking some of you up on your offers! Nuisance about the lost 10 days.
