  • DVLA owner history

I would like to know the first two owners of Worthers so I,m going to apply to DVLA to get the ownership history. Will it also tell me the supplying dealer ?? if not, does anyone know where WAE came from, and if so what RS dealers where in that area,

The DVLA will only supply the previous owners. I had this with mine and is a good read (Onlt read mine for the first time last night!!!) Brian has all the codes for your reg So you can work out which area the car came from. I also have this but at my other house. Will look it up for you later ok.

        WA is the Sheffield area

that might be a bit off. just found this info

NOTE.......An excellent book, now out of print, but often available from a library, is by Phillip Riden, Trace the History of Your Car, 1991. ISBN 1 873361 05 X. This goes into which authorities have kept records, ( many of which have not,) with addresses you can write to to obtain a copy of your cars initial registration.

The DVLA history I got back for SKC included a copy of the original dealer application to DVLA for a registration document

This showed as being from J Blake & Co - Liverpool

Think you go with the last two letters on your plate, in your case the "W" isn't relevent as such which makes "AE" Bristol area.

Enclose a short note telling them of the vehicle make, model and registation number, that you are the registered owner/keeper and attach £5.00 cheque made payable to DVLA Swansea. - add the vehicle reg. on the back of the cheque in case it gets separated from the request.
